Cometec was founded in Linsengericht, Germany, in 1988 by Georg Raab, who first encountered tantalum in 1976. With over 35 years of experience, we have become specialists in tantalum manufacturing and are recognized as a global reference. Our products meet international standards such as DIN EN ISO 9001 and ASME.

In 2010, we expanded our production capabilities by constructing a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility tailored to our specific needs. This allows us to produce large-scale equipment and optimize our processes with an in-house turning shop and steel department.

Since August 1, 2023, Cometec has been part of Tantalus Holding GmbH.
